Company History

Dave O’Mara Contractor, Inc. was established in 1974 in North Vernon, Indiana. Having nine years of construction experience, 1965 to 1974 working under the employment of Hesco, Inc., Dave O’Mara decided to establish his own company. Our organization was implemented with the primary types of construction being mechanical, plumbing and small utility installations. The business was incorporated in August of 1975.

Initially employing five people, Dave O’Mara Contractor, Inc. has grown and prospered, utilizing as many as 375 personnel on a seasonal basis. Dave personally oversees the bidding, equipment and material requirements for all projects, as well as maintaining daily contact with job site superintendents and asphalt production facilities.

Our corporate affiliates include Dave O’Mara Paving, Inc., an asphalt production company with 6 plants, and Padgett Trucking, Inc., which provides material and equipment delivery to our project sites with tractor trailers, lowboy trailers and tri-axle dump trucks. Padgett is located in our state of the art maintenance facility.
